didn’t know where to put this or what the policy is on linking external content, but I wrote a short guide on how to setup the Line-us without needing a device that’s running the official app (because I wanted to set it up from a Linux environment). It’s a bit technical and you have to know how to open a terminal, but I tried to make the steps very explicit and it uses only standard tools that should be pre-installed in most Linux distributions.
